• Cornelius Receives Grant for Parkland on Bailey Road (corneliustoday.com) — Cornelius has secured a $500,000 state grant to help cover the cost of 37 acres of future parkland north of Bailey Road, expanding a now 73-acre town-owned area. The funding, tied to the 2024 voter-approved parks bond and master plan, will reimburse part of the land purchase and free up more bond money for future park development in town.
