• Town Deploys Radar Trailers to Address Speeding (corneliustoday.com) — Cornelius drivers will start seeing new radar-equipped speed-feedback signs, first deployed on Jetton Road Extension and then rotated through other speeding hot spots. Mounted on custom solar-powered trailers, the mobile signs both remind motorists to slow down and quietly collect traffic data that could guide future enforcement or traffic-calming decisions in town neighborhoods.
• Math tutors needed for nonprofit program (lakenormanpublications.com) — Heart Math Tutoring is recruiting volunteer math tutors in Cornelius to work one hour a week with students at J.V. Washam Elementary and other schools from October through April. Volunteers receive training and a game-based curriculum, and no prior teaching experience is required. Organizers say the free, one-on-one support significantly boosts both math skills and student confidence across North Carolina.
