3. Museum of Life and Science seeks additional $2M from Durham County as costs rise (wral.com) — Durham residents may see more investment in the Museum of Life and Science as the institution asks Durham County Commissioners for an extra $2 million to cover rising construction costs. The money would help close a multimillion-dollar gap in a larger $18.5 million campus transformation, with a key vote expected at the commissioners' October 12 meeting.

Durham native Joshua Suiter talks landing role in Netflix's 'A Different World' revival (cbs17.com) — A Hillside High graduate from Durham, Joshua Suiter, has landed a role in Netflix's revival of "A Different World," now available to stream.
