• Farmville board of commissioners votes to fully fund Meals on Wheels (witn.com) — Farmville's Board of Commissioners has voted to fully fund the Meals on Wheels program, committing $12,740 to support local seniors despite some residents' concerns about cost and priorities. Commissioners also approved over $218,000 for new police cars, expanded the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, heard a proposal to sell the Farmville Community Center to the Boys and Girls Club, and proclaimed September as Suicide Prevention Month in town.
