• One arrested in downtown Greenville shooting; mayor issues statement (reflector.com) — A teenager from Farmville has been arrested after a downtown Greenville shooting that left three people wounded but expected to survive, drawing a public safety warning from the city's mayor. Police say the Farmville teen faces multiple weapons charges as detectives continue investigating the late-night incident near ECU and ask anyone with information to come forward.
• Emerge Gallery and Art Center accepting entries for DownEast exhibition (reflector.com) — Farmville artists and art lovers can now submit sculpture entries for a major regional exhibition that will place outdoor works in partner communities, including the Town of Farmville, for a full year starting March 2027. Emerge Gallery is accepting up to six entries per artist through Nov. 15, with modest fees and a New Bern-based public artist serving as juror.
