Man charged after hours-long standoff on Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville, police say (cbs17.com) — Fayetteville police say a 29-year-old man faces charges after an 11-hour standoff on Cedar Creek Road that began with a reported domestic incident Sunday morning. Officers evacuated the victims safely, then used specialized tactics to arrest the barricaded suspect that evening. He was evaluated at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and later taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center, where records show he received no bond.
