• Suspect arrested after shootings, attempted carjackings in Fayetteville (fayobserver.com) — Two women were shot during separate attempted carjackings Sunday morning in Fayetteville parking lots on Ramsey Street and McArthur Road, and a suspect is now in custody. Police say there's no ongoing threat but warn of a heavy law enforcement presence and partial closures around both scenes while the investigation continues. Residents can share anonymous tips through Fayetteville/Cumberland County Crime Stoppers.
   

• Dunn Police, Federal Agents Seize Fentanyl, Cocaine, $31,000 (jocoreport.com) — Police say a search of a home on Hastings Drive in Fayetteville uncovered fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, firearms and more than $31,000 in cash after a vehicle pursuit in Dunn led investigators there. Multiple state and federal agencies, including Fayetteville police, assisted in the raid, and one person faces several drug and weapons charges as part of an ongoing trafficking investigation.
