2. 3 women shot in Fayetteville, Cumberland County amid failed carjackings; 1 arrested: Officials (wnct.com) — Fayetteville authorities say three women were injured in connected shootings tied to two failed carjackings that began at a home north of the city and continued at businesses along Ramsey and McArthur roads. A 52-year-old suspect was later arrested after a chase ending in western Fayetteville. All three victims were hospitalized, with two taken to Fayetteville's main medical center.
3. Fayetteville man charged in violent crime spree has alleged gang ties (wral.com) — Fayetteville police say a 52-year-old local man faces attempted murder and other charges after three women were shot and two carjackings reported Sunday morning. Court records indicate he's alleged to be a validated member of a national street gang active in Cumberland County. Authorities and federal agencies have not yet detailed how they confirmed any gang affiliation.

Metcon Completes $69.3M Fayetteville State College Building (constructionowners.com) — Fayetteville State University has opened a new $69.3 million College of Education building, adding 72,000 square feet of classrooms, collaboration areas, and a mock courtroom on campus.
