• NC spends more than $10M on anti-abortion 'crisis pregnancy centers' (cardinalpine.com) — Goldsboro's Wayne Pregnancy Center, one of North Carolina's busiest crisis pregnancy centers, is receiving $160,000 in state funding as part of more than $10.7 million directed to similar facilities. Local leaders say the money supports counseling, ultrasounds, parenting help, and anti-trafficking work, while medical professionals and some lawmakers question whether these unregulated, anti-abortion centers are the best use of taxpayer dollars.
