Greensboro receives million dollar grant for public tree maintenance (wfmynews2.com) — Greensboro has secured a $1.28 million federal grant to inventory, maintain, and plant trees on city-owned property, especially in more than 30 identified high‑need neighborhoods. Over the next two years, consultants and arborists will catalog at least 10,000 trees, perform maintenance on 4,000, and replace removals with about 500 new plantings in parks and along maintained streets.
