• Bennett College in Greensboro struck by dark web data breach (myfox8.com) — Bennett College in Greensboro is warning that a dark web data breach last fall may have exposed personal information for more than 30,000 people, including nearly 11,000 North Carolinians. The college says it has tightened security, notified law enforcement and is offering affected individuals free credit monitoring and identity protection, urging everyone potentially impacted to watch their accounts closely.
• Greensboro mayor 'confident' city can reach funding goal on 'expedited timeline' (myfox8.com) — Greensboro officials are reassuring residents that the city remains financially healthy, even after the state treasurer placed it on a watch list over concerns about reserve levels. City leaders say they have nearly $100 million in savings and plan to reach a higher fund balance sooner than 2030, promising a 30–60 day plan and regular public updates.
• Extensive Rail Work Will Leave Some Guilford Residents With No Way In Or Out For A Day (rhinotimes.com) — Major rail replacement work between Greensboro and Raleigh will temporarily close 23 Guilford County crossings later this month, and two neighborhoods off Wagoner Bend Road and Buchanan Church Road could be cut off by car for up to 12 hours. County staff, Greensboro police and fire, schools and emergency services are coordinating detours, emergency access and notifications so residents can plan around the one-day closures.
