Battleground Avenue Lane Closures Under Way Due To Water Main Break, Greensboro

The City had an eight-inch water main break Tuesday night, February 2, in the 1700 block of Battleground Avenue near its intersection with Pembroke Road. The break resulted from a vehicle accident involving a hydrant. Water crews will be on site until about 5 pm today to replace the water line's broken section. Two southbound lanes and one turning lane of traffic on Battleground, between W. Northwood Street and Pembroke, are closed until work is complete. Motorists should avoid the area if possible or expect delays traveling through the work zone.
