“We are thrilled to announce the renaming of the annual event to Piedmont Triad MED Week,” says Maria Hicks-Few, the City’s chief equity and inclusion officer. “Area municipalities, universities, school systems, chambers of commerce and other community partners are committed to diversity and inclusion in the Piedmont Triad.”
The purpose of national MED Week, which is celebrated across the country, is to provide business development opportunities to firms and celebrate the accomplishments of minority and women business enterprises (M/WBE) during the past year.
