The Commission on the Status of Women will host an Introduction to the ABC’s and D of Medicare online from 6-7:30 pm Tuesday, October 27. Participants and the public can join the meeting via Zoom.

About 2 million people in North Carolina receive Medicare benefits, but navigating the different plans and finding care to complement coverage can be daunting. Learn about the different options for coverage to complement Medicare, and different options after Parts A and B.

Jeanie Schepisi, with the North Carolina Department of Insurance and SHIIP, will answer questions and help individuals understand their options. SHIIP is a consumer division of the NC Department of Insurance that provides neutral, objective and unbiased counseling and assistance, at no cost to the client.
