Creative Greensboro Holds Auditions For ‘Wolves Of Ravensbruk’

Creative Greensboro will hold virtual auditions for its 2020 New Play Project winner, "Wolves of Ravensbruk" written by Sally Kinka.

Creative Greensboro will hold virtual auditions for its 2020 New Play Project winner, “Wolves of Ravensbruk” written by Sally Kinka and directed by Todd Fisher. Actors are invited to submit pre-recorded monologues for the first round of auditions by December 14. The submission form and more information can be found at the Creative Greensboro website.

There are roles for seven women of various ages, from teens to older adults, of any ethnic or racial background. One character has a cognitive disability. Rehearsals will be held virtually once or twice weekly beginning in January, and then move to in person beginning in March. Performances may be offered either virtually or for limited in-person audiences April 22-25 or April 29 to May 2. Perusal scripts are available upon request. As Russian artillery is heard drawing nearer and nearer, seven women in the notorious Ravensbruk Nazi Concentration Camp struggle to survive long enough to be liberated and find that the strength of their dedication to each other and their use of the arts as a survival tool may be their saving grace.
