Lake Higgins Stocks Hatchery Pond With Trout Nov. 13, Greensboro

The Taylor Turner Hatchery Pond at Lake Higgins Park will be open for fishing after the trout stocking in the afternoon of Friday, November 13. Members of the public may watch the stocking, and the pond will be open for fishing at 8 am, Saturday, November 14. Lake Higgins Park is located at 4235 Hamburg Mill Rd.

The pond is open 8 am to 4 pm Wednesdays through Sundays in the winter and is stocked November through February. Anglers 16 years old and older must have a valid North Carolina fishing license, which can be purchased at the marina. The fee is $2 to fish and $4 per pound of fish caught. A trout stamp is not required. All fish caught must be weighed and kept. This is not a catch and release fishing opportunity.
