Lake Townsend Hosts Winter Waterfowl Pontoon Rides December Through April

Greensboro Parks and Recreation will offer winter waterfowl scouting pontoon boat rides at 3 pm December 15; January 5 and 19, February 2 and 16; March 15; and April 1 at Lake Townsend, 6332 Lake Townsend Rd., Browns Summit. Cost is $7 per person. Call the Lake Brandt Marina at 336-373-3741 to reserve a seat.

The tours last approximately 1.5 hours. Each tour is limited to 10 people. Life jackets are provided and binoculars are available upon request. For more information regarding this program and others at the City lakes, visit the lakes' website.
