New programs

Three unique learning opportunities are launching this fall.

First, UNCG is taking a bold step in advancing the personal and academic development of our students through the implementation of a new general education program called Minerva’s Academic Curriculum. The main goal of the new curriculum is to provide students with foundations and alternative perspectives for the more specialized knowledge gained in their majors, while ensuring that learning in the major builds upon and extends the work done in general education courses.

UNCG will also launch an online-only cohort in its Registered Nurse (RN)-to-Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program this fall. The new cohort option will allow registered nurses to complete all classes online and earn their degree in as little as one year. The online-only format will provide more flexibility for nurses who wish to obtain their BSN.

To seize the growing demand among current and prospective students for a holistic approach to the booming world of esports, UNCG is launching new, non-credit bearing digital certificate programs ranging from game design to marketing and monetization courses, as well as the construction of a new state-of-the-art, on-campus esports facility that will host potential competitions, recreational game play, research and academic activities, and other events. New dining options and a Moran Commons makeover

Students can now enjoy a new variety of dining options and new technology for on-the-go beverages and meals.

Moran Commons has also undergone a near complete transformation which will include:

And that’s not all – a new Smoked BBQ location has opened in the EUC Food Court.

UNCG is continuing to support both new and returning students’ success with a variety of on-campus and virtual resources.
