• Carolina Renaissance Festival hosts job fair Saturday in Huntersville (statesville.com) — Huntersville residents looking for fall work can apply at the Carolina Renaissance Festival's job fair on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Poplar Tent Road fairgrounds in town. Organizers are hiring about 350 seasonal workers at $14–$18 per hour, with free festival admission included, and encourage applicants to apply online or attend in person with work-eligibility documents.
• High school football: Alford throws 4 TD passes in North road win (salisburypost.com) — Huntersville football fans saw an explosive performance as quarterback Mike Alford threw four touchdown passes and Dyaon Norman-Jackson scored three times in North's 46–27 road win over Lake Norman Charter. The Cavaliers, now 2–1 after non-conference play, leaned on big passing numbers, key defensive stops, and special-teams scoring to pull away after halftime.
