The proposal envisions community spaces, small food retail, and loft apartments, while alumni and residents press the county to fund rehabilitation and honor the site's legacy.
• Thousands walk with Jesus through Charlotte (catholicnewsherald.com) — Thousands of Catholics filled uptown Charlotte's streets for a major Eucharistic procession that culminated at the Charlotte Convention Center. Huntersville was represented prominently as Father Kevin Martinez of St. Mark Church delivered the Holy Hour homily, connecting local parish life to one of the region's largest Catholic gatherings this year.
