• County fine-tuning design for east Huntersville greenway (lakenormanpublications.com) — Huntersville residents on the east side can expect construction to start this spring on the South Prong Clarke Creek Greenway, linking their neighborhoods to downtown with a new trail and parking area off Ferrelltown Parkway. County officials are still refining parking plans and exact routing while also coordinating an 18‑month creek restoration project to reduce sediment pollution and stabilize the stream.
   

• Christ the King High School celebrates stadium upgrades (catholicnewsherald.com) — Christ the King High School in Huntersville just debuted major stadium upgrades, cutting the ribbon on new turf and bleachers during a Sept. 11 home game. The celebration comes as the school nears completion of a $12 million expansion adding classrooms, a larger cafeteria, a band room, a Crusaders shop, and new devotional spaces to support its growing student body.
