β€’ Lady Scots rally past Terry Sanford in five-set thriller (laurinburgexchange.com) β€” Laurinburg volleyball fans just saw the Lady Scots pull off a dramatic five-set home win over Terry Sanford after dropping the first set. Scotland rallied to take sets two and three, survived a fourth-set response, then closed out the decisive fifth 15-11. Riding a two-match win streak, they now head to face Purnell Swett on Thursday evening.

β€’ Multiple shootings occur at same Maxton location (robesonian.com) β€” Laurinburg residents should know local police helped respond after multiple early-morning shootings in nearby Maxton that left one man dead and another injured. Maxton officers, aided by Scotland County and Laurinburg police, dispersed a crowd of hundreds, detained several people, and seized multiple firearms. Investigators are still piecing together what happened and are asking witnesses to share any information or video.
