Mooresville Police have since dismissed her, and both departments' actions raise local questions about how automated plate readers are monitored and safeguarded.
   

• Sheriff: Arrests made in connection with pair of break-ins at residential properties (iredellfreenews.com) — Deputies recently interrupted a suspected break‑in at a home under construction on Rolling Meadows Drive near Mooresville, arresting a man accused of attempting to steal copper wiring and carrying burglary tools. In a separate case near Statesville, two other suspects were charged after electrical wire and other items were taken from a renovation site, with most of the property recovered.
