Fight Among Family Members Leads To Death: CMPD
Police have launched a homicide probe after an early morning fight in a south Charlotte home left one man dead Friday morning.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police have opened a homicide investigation after a fight among family members left one man dead Friday morning.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were called to a home in the 400 block of Mountainview Drive in southeast Charlotte shortly before 4 a.m. April 6 due to a domestic related assault, the department said in a statement.
When they arrived at the home, they found Joseph Henry Grosjean, 59, unconscious. He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, where he was later pronounced dead, CMPD said.

Family members in the home at the time of the incident were taken to CMPD headquarters, where they were interview by homicide detectives.
“All indications are that the death occurred as a result of an altercation between family members present in the home,” CMPD said. “Homicide detectives are not searching for any additional suspects.”
