Man Found Shot, Killed In Car In Midday South Charlotte Homicide
A man was shot and killed inside a vehicle in south Charlotte before noon Thursday. Police are now investigating.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A man was found shot inside a vehicle in south Charlotte late Thursday morning, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, who have launched a homicide investigation.
CMPD received the call for service around noon March 29. When they arrived at the crime scene in the 8100 block of South Tryon Street, they found the male victim in a vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene by medic, according to a CMPD report.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification.

CMPD homicide detectives are cancassing the area in search of witnesses and to collect physical evidence. Police ask that anyone with information about this incident contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
