City of New Bern Water Resources crews respond to two issues (newbernnow.com) — New Bern's water crews are repairing a major broken water main near Country Club Road, causing low pressure and shutoffs in Pembroke, Olde Towne, Hidden Harbour, Towne Woods, and nearby areas. Residents there are under a boil-water advisory and urged to conserve water until the city issues further notice, with repairs expected to take several hours.
   

2. Deputies search for suspect considered dangerous (newbernsj.com) — Craven County deputies are still searching for a New Bern man who ran from a traffic stop on Cannon Lane and is considered dangerous due to prior felony charges. Investigators say he left behind a handgun and drugs near Greenleaf Cemetery, and they're asking anyone with information to contact the sheriff's office or Crime Stoppers instead of approaching him.
   

3. Local singer Erin Langley credits Dolly Parton's music and philanthropy for inspiring her (wcti12.com) — As New Bern fans remember Dolly Parton, local singer Erin Langley shares how Dolly's storytelling and philanthropy shaped her own music and nonprofit work at the YMCA. Langley, a member of The Bonafides, is weaving Dolly's influence into an upcoming American Songbook concert featuring 70s and 80s favorites for area audiences.
   

4. Multi-agency saturated patrol targets traffic enforcement in Craven County, nets 31 charges (wcti12.com) — A recent one-day saturated patrol in Craven County, involving New Bern Police and several neighboring agencies, led to 31 traffic-related charges, including DWIs and reckless driving. Shortly afterward, deputies arrested a driver allegedly going 110 mph on U.S. 17 toward Jones County, also facing firearm and marijuana charges.
   

5. Country music radio station in New Bern pays tribute to Dolly Parton's influence in the industry (witn.com) — A New Bern-based country station, WRNS, is reflecting on Dolly Parton's legacy and how her trailblazing career shaped today's female country artists. Station leaders describe seeing her influence daily in visiting performers and praise her musicianship and philanthropy that touched multiple generations of listeners.
