2 Suspects Awaiting Trial Cut Off Monitors, On The Run: CMPD
Marquan Phillip Jones and Dejuan Jamel Evans both cut off their electronic monitors Monday and were last in north Charlotte, police say.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two suspects wanted on a list of felony charges are on the run after cutting off their court-ordered electronic monitoring devices, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Marquan Phillip Jones, 22, and Dejuan Jamel Evans, 28, both cut off their electronic monitors June 18 and were last known to be in the area of Interstate 85 North between Ikea Boulevard and W.T.Harris Boulevard, CMPD said.
Jones was ordered to wear a monitor as a condition of pretrial release while he awaited trial for multiple counts of breaking and entering motor vehicles, felony larceny, assault on a female, false imprisonment and common law robbery.

Evans was ordered to wear a monitor as he awaited trial for robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon.
Both also face additional charges for damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.
