3 Shot In North Charlotte Early Tuesday Morning

Charlotte police are investigating an early morning shooting that sent three victims to the hospital.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police have launched an investigation into an overnight shooting spree at a north Charlotte home that left three victims suffering from gunshot wounds including one victim with life threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred shortly before 1 a.m. July 17 in the 1700 block of Russell Avenue, where responding officers found the victims outside of a home, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report.

The victims were transported by medic to Carolinas Medical Center, CMPD said.

Detectives are currently canvassing the area for witnesses and say the case remains an active, ongoing investigation.
