Armed Robber Assaulted Employee Before Fleeing: Police

Police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect who pulled a gun and robbed an east Charlotte business Sunday.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect caught on camera who they say was part of a pair who robbed an east Charlotte business at gunpoint and assaulted an employee Sunday afternoon.

The robbery occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Sept. 16 at Lidoo, located at 6307 The Plaza Road in east Charlotte when two suspects entered the business, brandished guns and demanded property.

During the robbery, an employee was assaulted and received minor injuries, according to police.

The first suspect, who was photographed, is described as about six-foot, two inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans.

The second suspect, who was not photographed, was described as about five-foot, three-inches tall. No clothing description was given.
