Arrest Made 4 Years After Charlotte Murder
In February 2014, Aric Demond Adams was gunned down in an east Charlotte apartment. Charlotte police now say they've made an arrest.

CHARLOTTE, NC — More than four and a half years after a 29-year-old man was found gunned down in an east Charlotte apartment in a suspected drug-related shooting, police have made an arrest, CMPD announced Tuesday afternoon.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police charged Aric Demond Adams, 25, with the Feb. 18, 2014 murder of Romon Antonio Williams, CMPD announced Aug. 21.
“Evidence on the scene indicates that the shooting was drug related and does not appear to be a random act of violence,” CMPD said at the time of the murder.

Detectives identified Adams as the suspect during the investigation and charged him murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
