Charlotte Firefighters Battle Plaza Midwood House Fire

Almost two dozen firefighters were needed to put out a house fire in Plaza Midwood Tuesday morning.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte firefighters needed less than fifteen minutes to put out a house fire in Plaza Midwood Tuesday morning.

The structure fire in the 1700 block of Pecan Avenue was reported after smoke was seen billowing out of the basement of a single-story home.

The 23 responding firefighters had the fire under control in 12 minutes and no injuries occurred, Charlotte Fire Department said on twitter. The fire is under investigation, CFD said.
