Children Rescued By Fire Crew After Tree Topples On Home
Two young children were trapped in their east Charlotte home Thursday morning after a tree fell onto the roof.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Fire crews rescued two young boys and a dog trapped in their home early Thursday morning after a tree toppled onto the roof of their east Charlotte home, according to reports.
The rescue occurred during the predawn hours Aug. 23 in the 1300 block of Pinecrest Avenue, according to Charlotte Fire Department.
The boys were uninjured, however the rear of the home and a car were destroyed, WSOCTV reported. The children were taken to the hospital as a precaution, the station said.
