Felony Suspect On The Run After Cutting Off Monitor: CMPD

Cameron Antonio Verdell cut off his electronic monitor Thursday and was last known to be near uptown Charlotte, police say.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect wanted on felony larceny charges after he cut off an electronic monitoring device Thursday.

Cameron Antonio Verdell, 25, was court ordered to wear the device as a condition of pre-trial release. He is wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon, felony larceny, and conspiracy to commit felony larceny, and now faces additional charges of damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

He was last known to be near the corner of Interstate 277 and the exit for Independence Boulevard, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police report.

Verdell is described as 5-foot, 8-inches tall, and about 160 pounds.

CMPD asks that anyone with information on Campbell's whereabouts 911 immediately.
