Jogger Finds Body During Morning Run, Police Investigating

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police have launched a homicide investigation after a body was discovered Thursday morning by a jogger on a morning run near Devonshire Elementary School.

The male victim was found by the jogger shortly before 7 a.m. on June 21 in the 1900 block of Milton Road, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

This victim, who has not yet been identified pending notification for next of kin, was pronounced dead on the scene, CMPD said.
