Woman Escaped From Work-Release, Nabbed In Charlotte
One week after Regina Davis went missing from a work release facility, she was found by Charlotte police near Tyvola Road.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A 33-year-old woman who bolted from a work release program was back behind bars Friday after a week on the run, according to state public safety officials.
Regina Davis was reported missing Aug. 31 from the Charlotte-based Center For Community Transitions, which is a work release facility for minimum custody female offenders located on Old Concord Road in north Charlotte. She was located and arrested by Charlotte police in the Tyvola Road area around 4 a.m. Sept. 7, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.
Davis was serving a sentence for robbery with a dangerous weapon and has been in prison since July 2009. She was scheduled for release in November 2019.
