Warrant Issued For Suspect In Sexual Assault Attempt In Plaza Midwood: CMPD
A Plaza Midwood resident watering her flowers Tuesday morning was attacked in her front yard, Charlotte police say.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police have obtained a warrant for a 17 year-old suspect they say attempted to sexually assault a woman watering flowers in the yard of her Plaza Midwood home Tuesday morning.
The suspect is currently at a medical facility being evaluated and will be served upon his release, according to police.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police increased patrols in Plaza Midwood Tuesday after the 34 year-old woman reported the Sept. 19 attack on Norcross Place around 7:45 a.m.

The woman was in her yard when she was approached by a man who said he was looking for his lost dog, according to CMPD. She told police that it was when she turned her back while speaking with him that he grabbed her and attempted to sexually assault her.
