• Floyd Ray Latham (shelbyinfo.com) — Shelby is mourning the loss of 82-year-old Floyd Ray "Dude" Latham, a beloved father, grandfather, dancer, golfer, and retired railroad engineer who died September 24. Deeply involved with the Shelby Shag Club, local golf buddies, and work at Shelby City Park and Case Farm, he leaves a large, close-knit family. A memorial service is set Sunday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby.
