WMPO board adopts regional traffic safety strategy (wect.com) — Wilmington-area leaders have adopted a Safe Streets and Roads for All plan aimed at eliminating deadly and serious crashes by 2050, shaping future funding and safety projects across local roads. Women veterans complete 300-mile march, ending in Wilmington (wwaytv3.com) — Women veterans have just completed a four-week, 300-mile march across North Carolina, finishing Saturday at Wilmington's 1898 Memorial after walking in from downtown. Local residents joined them for the final stretch, speeches, and a closing ceremony focused on ethical leadership, women's voices, and getting more involved in community life and at the polls.

How North Carolina schoolchildren helped save the Battleship North Carolina (wwaytv3.com) — Wilmington's iconic Battleship North Carolina is marking the anniversary of its arrival on the Cape Fear River, a homecoming made possible decades ago by schoolchildren collecting dimes statewide.
