Winston-Salem police seek public's help finding missing man (abc45.com) — Winston-Salem police are asking for your help to find 34-year-old Will Craig Nelson Fuller, last seen around noon today walking away from a home on Stoney Glen Drive. Officers released his description and multiple phone and text tip lines so residents can quickly share any information that might help locate him safely.
   

2. Higher Ed At A Crossroads: Wake Forest looking to grow without losing its 'close community' feel (wunc.org) — Wake Forest University, long rooted in Winston-Salem since its 1956 move, is planning to grow undergraduate enrollment to 6,200 by 2030 while trying to preserve its close-knit campus feel. New president Peter Rodriguez talks about free tuition for qualifying North Carolina families, the value of liberal arts in an AI-driven world, and redefining college beyond short-term salary returns.
   

3. Carolinas Grid Modernization Engine Earns Prestigious NSF Regional Innovation Engines Award (nc.gov) — Winston-Salem's role in cutting-edge research gets a boost as North Carolina is now home to three NSF Regional Innovation Engines, including the Regenerative Medicine Engine based here with a service region covering the entire state. A new Carolinas Grid Modernization Engine, led from UNC Charlotte, will bring up to $160 million to strengthen the electric grid, support manufacturing, and create jobs across both Carolinas.
   

4. Davidson County commissioners vote to remove Flock cameras, end contract (wfmynews2.com) — Davidson County commissioners have voted to shut off and remove Flock license plate reader cameras, redirecting $76,000 toward a new mobile command center. For Winston-Salem residents, the story underscores that local police and the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office say they do not currently use these cameras, even as privacy debates grow across the country.
