Inspired partly by the Mount Tabor High School shooting, the team is fundraising, building partnerships, and recruiting volunteers to distribute free kits and emergency-preparedness resources to schools.
   

4. Passengers can skip the car with NC By Train's new pass (wxii12.com) — Winston-Salem riders can now link local buses with NC By Train tickets using the new Rail & Ride pass, eliminating extra fares when connecting from rail to Winston-Salem Transit. The program, spanning the Raleigh–Charlotte corridor, emails riders a code they redeem in participating transit apps for free local bus or light-rail trips.
