Members also confirmed long-term funding for boys and girls golf and heard that Ramsey County software issues will cause an unexpected property tax bump for local taxpayers.

Federal wardens described the scene as a “circus,” with newcomers and old-timers crowding prime fields in what was considered one of the nation’s best goose-hunting regions.

Children's cabinet to visit Minot area (minotdailynews.com) — Devils Lake families can hear directly from the North Dakota Children’s Cabinet when its statewide “road show” stops at Woodland Resort on Oct. 7 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Officials will share their annual report, celebrate regional progress, and gather feedback on how state agencies can better coordinate services for children and families across North Dakota.
4. Sports Scoreboard (Oct. 2, 2026) (inforum.com) — Devils Lake football fans can celebrate a nail-biting 20-19 win over St. Mary’s, highlighted in a packed regional scoreboard from Friday’s games. The roundup also includes college cross-country, golf, hockey, volleyball, and more high school matchups from across North Dakota and Minnesota, giving local sports followers a quick snapshot of who came out on top.
