Officers say the operation involved large quantities of narcotics, prior convictions in Cass County, and searches that uncovered drugs, a sawed-off shotgun, and children present in one apartment, underscoring ongoing local efforts to disrupt dealers.

2. August 20: Fargo Society snippets from the Wisconsin Afro-American, 1892 (prairiepublic.org) — Step back into 1890s Fargo, where Black residents ran dress shops on N.P. These preserved society snippets from regional Afro-American newspapers highlight everyday life, travel, music, and new homes in Fargo's once-prominent Black community.

3. Nonprofit helps teachers navigate homeownership (valleynewslive.com) — A Fargo-based nonprofit is working to help teachers in North Dakota and Minnesota afford homes by covering key upfront costs like appraisals, inspections, and part of closing expenses. Through grants averaging about $4,000, homebuyer education, and partnerships with local lenders and realtors, the Teachers Home Project aims to keep quality educators rooted in the communities they serve.

4. Prep highlights: Shanley, West Fargo draw in boys soccer (inforum.com) — Fargo soccer fans saw a busy night on the pitch, with Fargo Shanley and West Fargo battling to a 1-1 draw and several all-Fargo matchups across town.
