Downtown Fargo landlord sues Black Coffee & Waffle Bar owner over unpaid rent (valleynewslive.com) — A downtown Fargo landlord is suing the operator of Black Coffee & Waffle Bar, claiming more than $190,000 in unpaid rent, fees, and interest tied to the 2nd Avenue North location. The restaurant remains open, but the Cass County civil case alleges years of missed payments and a disputed damage total, with no court response filed yet.
3. September 2026 Board Meeting Announcement (fargoparks.com) — Fargo residents can weigh in on parks issues at the Park District Board meeting on September 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fargo Parks Sports Center or via livestream. Commissioners will review the 2027 budget, snow removal bids, an agreement on the Southwest Regional Pond, and rules for e-bikes and e-scooters in local parks.
4. Touchdown Talen: Tuchscherer scores 3 times, leads Davies past Century (inforum.com) — Fargo football fans saw Fargo Davies grind out a 35-28 home win over Bismarck Century, powered by junior running back Talen Tuchscherer's three rushing touchdowns and 149 yards. With 315 total rushing yards and a late defensive stand, the Eagles move to 2-0 and now turn their attention to hosting unbeaten Bismarck Legacy next Friday.
5. North Dakota Brothers Charged with Class B Felony in Armed Robbery of Private Poker Game (sccgmanagement.com) — Two brothers from the Fargo area are charged with Class B felony armed robbery after an invite-only poker game on Northern Pacific Avenue was held up at gunpoint and $2,500 was taken. Investigators linked a distinctive pickup, recovered phones, location data, and texts with a former dealer to the case, and both men remain jailed in Cass County as the case proceeds.
