Beginning the morning of Thursday, November 18, telephone users across the United States (mainly Connecticut, Massachusetts and Texas) have reported receiving phone calls which appear to come from a phone number which matches the main line of Fargo City Hall (701.241.1310.) These calls have reportedly consisted of a common “grandparent scam” in which the caller pretends to be a grandchild in need of money. Call recipients are urged to exercise caution and avoid sharing any personal details if they receive a suspicious phone call.
