City Of Fargo To Host Local Government, Public Health Coronavirus Briefing On April 15

The City of Fargo will host a COVID-19 public briefing along with other metro governments at the city and county level, local public health experts and metro healthcare systems Sanford Health and Essentia Health. Speakers will include:

- Clay County Public Health Administrator Kathy McKay
- Essentia Health Chief Medical Officer Dr. Richard Vetter
- VP and Medical Officer of Sanford Fargo Dr. Doug Griffin
- Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney
- West Fargo Commission President Bernie Dardis
- Moorhead Mayor Johnathan Judd
- Cass County Commission Chair Chad Peterson
- Clay County Commission Vice-chair Jim Haney
Each organization will provide updates and information pertaining to recent developments in the COVID-19 pandemic. The briefing begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15 at Fargo City Hall.
In an effort to exercise Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines pertaining to social distancing, members of the public and media will not be admitted into the Commission Chambers facility during the briefing. Interested parties are encouraged to view the briefing via a livestream hosted on the City of Fargo’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, on the web or via the Fargo Access Channel 56. Media entities desiring to share the livestream are urged to utilize the TVFargo feed to ensure a top quality, uninterrupted broadcast. Members of the media desiring interviews should coordinate with their desired interviewee(s)’ organization. In-person interviews in Fargo City Hall will not be offered.
