• North Dakota State Hospital Marks Beam Signing (midwestmedicaledition.com) — Jamestown's new North Dakota State Hospital is moving ahead, with leaders recently celebrating a beam-signing milestone for the 294,000-square-foot facility now rising just west of the current campus. When completed in late 2027, it will modernize mental health care, add advanced therapeutic spaces, and support more than 300 staff in a trauma-informed, recovery-focused environment.
   

• Meredith 'Muffy' Weisz Receives JRMC Legend Award (newsdakota.com) — A Jamestown Regional Medical Center admissions clerk, Meredith "Muffy" Weisz, has been honored with the hospital's top Legend Award for consistently going above and beyond for patients and coworkers. Colleagues praised her initiative in keeping the facility welcoming during staffing shortages and her warm, family-like approach to greeting everyone who walks through JRMC's doors.
   

• UJ Volleyball Takes On University of Mary (news-usa.today) — University of Jamestown volleyball fans can follow the Jimmies as they visit the University of Mary on Tuesday, riding momentum from a straight-set win over Minot State. With an 11-3 record and strong defensive stats, Jamestown sits well in the Northern Sun standings before returning home to Harold Newman Arena for Parents' Weekend matches October 2–3.
