Attack With Pizza Gets Ohio Man Domestic Violence Charge

An Ohio man attacked a woman with pizza, tried to fight with his neighbor, flipped a couch and rolled tires into the street, police said.

MASURY, OH — From the outside of his home, the arrest Tuesday night of a Masury, Ohio, man accused of attacking a woman with pizza sounded more difficult that it was. There was a lot of yelling going on, the Brookfield Township Police Department said in a report, but Kenneth Evans, 24, “immediately complied” after officers pushed their way in and pointed a stun gun at him.

Evans, who was “obviously intoxicated,” obediently sat down on the floor, but was “still screaming and belligerent,” according to the report, which noted an overturned couch and tires that had been thrown in the street. The woman who said Evans was looking out an upstairs window when police arrived at the residence just before midnight, according to the report.

“He was highly intoxicated and his mood was rapidly shifting,” the report said. “The house was completely trashed, with the couch upside down against the wall.”

The incident began inside a car as the woman was driving Evans home, police said, citing her testimony that he was screaming at her, repeatedly pushed her head and then hit her in the face with pizza. Evans also is accused of repeatedly punching the vehicle’s dashboard and kicking the door when he got out.

The woman, whose relationship with Evans isn’t known, suffered an “apparent minor injury,” according to the report. Evans told police he hadn’t touched her, but they two had argued and he flipped the couch, according to the report.
