Camel Goes On Jaunt Through Springfield Township (Photos)
Scooby escaped from his fenced-in home, blocked traffic and provided an uncommon photo opportunity for drivers.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH — A young camel named Scooby is back at his Springfield Township home after going on a 90-minute jaunt that blocked traffic and provided an uncommon photo opportunity for drivers.
Scooby escaped from his fenced-in home on Friday afternoon and began walking along streets, prompting wide-eyed reaction, The Blade reported. A neighbor of the owner who was on her way home from work alerted the Lucas County Sheriff's Office. Neighbors helped corral Scooby and return him home, the newspaper said.
Owner Nabil Shaheen was contacted and led Scooby safely home.
