'Cold, Flaky' Winter In Store For Ohio, Farmers' Almanac Predicts

The Farmers' Almanac has released its 2020-2021 winter outlook. Ohio will be getting very chilly this year.

CLEVELAND — Winter in Ohio will be "cold" and "very flaky," according to a new prediction from the Farmers' Almanac.

The Great Lakes area will see frigid temperatures for much of winter. Snowfall could vary throughout the region, with Ohio likely to see average winter precipitation levels. Neighbors to the west, like Wisconsin, are more likely to see above-average snowfall this season.

The lower Ohio River Valley is being called the "winter wild card" by the Farmers' Almanac. The area could see intense winter storms periodically throughout the season.
