Coronavirus In Ohio: 1,047 New Cases, 30 Deaths
In the past 24 hours, more than 120 people have been hospitalized due to COVID-19.
COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio again confirmed more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases in a 24-hour period, the state health department announced.
Over the past three weeks, Ohio has averaged more than 1,200 new COVID-19 cases per day. On Tuesday, officials confirmed 1,047 new cases, a slight dip.
However, other key metrics used to track the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic were up.

Over the past 24 hours, at least 30 Ohioans died due to complications from COVID-19. That's up versus the three-week daily average of 17 deaths per day.

Hospital admissions and intensive care admissions related to COVID-19 were also up Tuesday. At least 126 people were admitted to hospitals with symptoms of the virus, and 23 people entered intensive care due to COVID-19.
